If you intend to call taxis afterwards this particular watering hole has not got a telephone, but a local will probably ring one for you.

The 2km path to the shore is easy to follow, nevertheless, the final part is a touch steep and as a consequence good care really should be taken. Starting from the Balcon de Maro, walk all the way down the side of the ruined castle to join the minor road at the bottom, turn right and after a brief distance take a lane on the right. The road goes via farming acreage. Turn right in between 2 green-houses towards a second road and stick to it up to a chain at which some folks park. The path ahead goes down to the beach.

Although I’ve never visited all of them myself, I am certain that farther East, beyond the big Maro shore, Playa de las Alberquillas (Alberquillas beach) and Calas del Pino (Pine Coves) are frequented by naturists.
